Speaking about the apostle Peter is no easy task. The four Gospels reveal him to be an exceptional man, yet so close to us in his character, his temperament, and his attitude. He is revealed to us in his human, sensitive, and living reality.
Upon studying this figure, he appears clearly different from the one described by the traditional Church: Peter, imperial, holding a key in his hand, in the stained glass windows of cathedrals.
Peter was a man of flesh and blood, with his faults, certainly, but also with his exceptional qualities.
The author's wish is that, through this study, you may realize what your own faults are, but also your qualities: how God wants to help you correct the former and put the latter at His service.
