Is Evil Part of God's Plan - John Piper

"My desire, in publishing this book, is that each one of us may rely on a knowledge of God that will not fail us on an evil day."
When evil is unleashed, does God remain sovereign? The author observes that Western Christians have often lost the concept of a sovereign God, even over evil, and would be quickly bewildered if they were confronted with violent persecution. He recalls some of the most shocking sins mentioned in the Bible, sins which, nevertheless, all contributed to the glory of Christ. Does this shock us? Is the image we have of God truly biblical? Perhaps it is time to take stock of this important question!
