God's Tent in the Desert of Men – Egbert Egberts

God's Tent in the Desert of Men – Egbert Egberts

What if the tabernacle were not just an element of biblical history, but an image that still challenges us today regarding how God wants to dwell in the midst of His people?

In God's Tent in the Desert of Men, Egbert Egberts revisits the symbolism of the tabernacle to reflect on the calling and reality of the Church. The author takes an unflinching look at a faith that could easily be reduced to appearances, buildings, or religious habits, and constantly brings the reader back to Jesus Christ and the message of the cross.

With direct and engaging language, the book addresses themes such as commitment, sacrifice, consecration, dying to self, and new life in Christ. It thus invites us to move beyond a merely outward faith to rediscover a relationship with God that truly transforms life.

A work that challenges and prompts an examination of what truly constitutes the life of the Church: are we more concerned with what is visible, or with the presence of God in our midst?

A profound and straightforward book for those who wish to reflect on the life of the Church, Christian consecration, and the central place of the cross.
