Asya Kravchenko: Green

A vivid and honest story about a teenager who was afraid to speak out loud. A tale about someone who decided to say “no” for the first time. Mark is the kind of person who usually goes unnoticed. He is used to staying silent and not asking unnecessary questions. But when his classmate says, “You can’t yell at me!” Mark suddenly realizes that no one can yell at him either. That it’s impossible to force him to do what he doesn’t want to do. And it is he, Mark, who must say so out loud.

And so Mark, who just yesterday was too shy to answer in front of the class, decides to start a band. He has something to say. And even something to shout—to his classmates, to adults, and to the whole world. The music is ready to break free, and life unexpectedly takes on a rebellious green hue. Music and a new persona help the protagonist see himself and others in a new light.
