Jochem Myjer: The Gorgels. Book 1

One night, a boy named Melle sees a strange creature at the edge of his bed, looking like a little ball of wool with arms, legs, and sharp, fuzzy ears. Melle turns on his flashlight to get a better look, but the creature vanishes.

When Melle talks about it at school, his classmates laugh at him. His father, a biologist, categorically states that such creatures do not exist in nature, but Melle finds a book in his father’s study about these mysterious creatures—the Gorgels—and overhears his father telling a mysterious person on the phone about what his son saw. Trying to learn more about the Gorgels, Melle will find new friends and join them in battling dangerous enemies; exciting adventures and amazing discoveries await him…
