Smoke armchair

Signed by Maarten Baas, the Smoke Armchair is furniture finished with fire. The beauty and character of burned wood are captured in a long-lasting material, creating the strange sensation of sitting on burnt furniture. Fascinated by fire, Maarten Baas turned it into a groundbreaking approach, capturing the flames within the solidity of wood. Each armchair is unique: like the Phoenix, the Smoke objects are reborn from their ashes with new vitality and beauty.
