Designed for large live sound systems, touring productions, clubs, festivals, and high-impact DJ applications, this flagship active subwoofer provides Yamaha’s deepest and most powerful DXS mk3 performance. Its proprietary 18in woofer uses a large 4in voice coil to deliver controlled ultra-low bass with the durability required for demanding professional systems.
A high-efficiency Class-D amplifier supplies 2500W peak and 1250W RMS output, producing a maximum measured level of 134dB SPL. The optimized band-pass enclosure and large-diameter ports reduce airflow noise and unwanted cabinet sound, maintaining precise low-frequency reproduction even at high levels. The rigid plywood cabinet is protected by a durable polyurea finish.
The 32-bit, 96kHz processing system provides crossover control, delay, parametric EQ, flexible routing, D-XSUB processing, and cardioid operation. XTENDED LF mode expands usable reproduction down to 32Hz, making the subwoofer suitable for electronic music, cinematic effects, and other material requiring substantial ultra-low-frequency energy.
The rear-panel LCD, encoder, factory presets, and eight user memories simplify configuration. Bluetooth connectivity allows audio streaming and comprehensive control through the Yamaha D-Remote application. Multiple units can be grouped for coordinated level and mute control.
