Coles 4050 Studio Ribbon Microphone with Shock Mount

Coles 4050 Studio Ribbon Microphone with Shock Mount

Capture instruments, vocals, ensembles, and room ambience with exceptional detail and natural tonal balance. This passive studio ribbon microphone delivers an exceptionally flat frequency response from 30Hz to 20kHz, making it well suited to critical recording applications where accuracy, smoothness, and realistic spatial reproduction are essential.

Its bidirectional figure-8 polar pattern remains substantially consistent across both the horizontal and vertical planes. This controlled response provides strong side rejection and supports a wide variety of close, room, and stereo recording techniques.

The included magnetic shock mount securely supports the microphone while reducing mechanically transmitted vibration. The microphone can rotate through 360 degrees within the mount, making positioning quick and flexible. The same mount can also accommodate a second 4050 for Blumlein and other stereo configurations.

An aluminum body, stainless steel protective screens, and gold-coloured enamel finish provide durable professional construction while keeping the microphone compact and manageable in the studio.
