Coles 4104B Commentator Lip Ribbon Microphone

Coles 4104B Commentator Lip Ribbon Microphone

Capture clear, natural commentary in extremely noisy environments with this classic BBC-designed noise-cancelling ribbon microphone. The close-talking lip microphone design provides strong discrimination between the user’s voice and surrounding crowd, vehicle, machinery, or environmental noise.

A positioning bar maintains the precise speaking distance required for a consistent frequency response and controlled proximity effect. Separate nose and mouth screening helps preserve a natural balance between vocal tones while suppressing breath noise, popping, and unwanted sounds from the lips and nostrils.

Its highly damped corrugated aluminum ribbon and bidirectional polar pattern provide clear broadcast-quality speech, while the rugged brass housing and textured handle are designed for demanding professional use.
