Build a flexible cartridge-based multi-effects processor designed for hands-on experimentation and voltage-controlled sound design. FXBoy hosts effects inside interchangeable game-style cartridges, allowing the processing circuit to be changed without replacing the complete Eurorack module.
The main module provides voltage control over the effect parameters and dry and wet balance. An integrated four-band voltage-controlled equalizer can be placed before or after the selected effect, providing extensive control over the frequency response entering or leaving the cartridge.
Each compatible cartridge can provide two different effect variations selected from the front panel. Cartridges are hot-swappable, making it easy to change processing styles during a session. The open cartridge specifications also allow experienced builders to design and create their own effects. A stripboard cartridge is included for custom circuit development.
