Build a flexible external audio preamplifier and signal extractor with this partial DIY kit. It includes the official PCB and front panel set along with the rare and specialized components required for the project. Common electronic parts and mechanical hardware must be sourced separately.
Once assembled, the completed module can amplify microphone, instrument, line-level, and synthesizer signals to Eurorack levels. Its combination XLR and 1/4in input supports a wide variety of sources, while selectable input impedance and switchable 48V phantom power accommodate dynamic and compatible condenser microphones. An envelope follower, gate extractor, and trigger extractor generate control signals from the incoming audio.
