The Harrison 500-Series 32C Preamp brings the input-stage character of Harrison’s 32Classic console to the 500 Series format. Built around a premium Jensen JT-MB-CPCA transformer-coupled microphone preamplifier, the 32Cpre+ is designed to deliver a full low end, open midrange and smooth high-frequency response while retaining the clarity and headroom required for modern recording.
The preamp provides a broad +20 to +70 dB gain range, allowing it to accommodate everything from high-output condenser microphones to lower-output dynamic and ribbon microphones. A front-panel combo XLR and 1/4 in input provides convenient direct connection for microphones or instruments, while the Hi-Z mode supports guitars, basses and other instrument-level sources.
Classic recording utilities include 48V phantom power, polarity reverse and a -20 dB pad. The module also incorporates Harrison’s characteristic high-pass and low-pass filters. The HPF sweeps from 25 Hz to 3.1 kHz, while the LPF covers 160 Hz to 20 kHz, providing a broad range of corrective and creative filtering directly at the recording stage.
