UVI Walker 2

UVI Walker 2 is a specialized Foley instrument designed to create realistic footsteps, movement sounds and imaginative creature performances for film, television, games and other post-production environments. Built from the ground up with more than 45,000 newly recorded samples, it provides detailed control over footwear, surfaces, clothing and performance characteristics from a streamlined single-panel interface.

The library includes 14 types of shoes, eight animal-foot categories including paws, hooves and talons, 32 surfaces and 24 clothing options. Regular steps and foot lifts were captured independently at slow, normal and fast speeds, making it possible to closely synchronize generated footsteps with on-screen movement. Designed footsteps extend the palette into robots, creatures and other fictional subjects.

Step, surface and clothing components are handled as discrete layers, each of which can be independently shaped using level, pitch, attack, decay and randomization controls. Four microphone perspectives allow the recording character to be changed, while speed, distance, velocity and lift controls provide real-time performance control. An integrated convolution reverb with 46 impulse responses helps place footsteps naturally into different environments.
