Atomos AtomX CAST Modular Expansion
The Atomos AtomX CAST Modular Expansion transforms a compatible Ninja monitor-recorder into a compact multi-camera production system. Connecting directly through the AtomXpansion interface, CAST combines four HDMI inputs with physical switching controls and the Ninja touchscreen to create an integrated monitoring, recording, switching, and streaming workflow.
Up to four HD HDMI sources can be connected simultaneously, allowing operators to switch cameras using dedicated illuminated input buttons. The system supports multiview monitoring, program and preview operation, picture-in-picture layouts, graphic overlays, and transitions, providing many of the capabilities of a traditional production switcher in a highly portable package.
CAST can be used for livestreaming, presentations, interviews, podcasts, multicamera shoots, education, corporate productions, and other environments where a compact switcher and recorder are preferable to a larger production desk.
