The 9402A is a professional multichannel Audio-over-IP system management device designed to integrate Genelec Smart Active Monitoring systems into Dante-based broadcast, post-production and immersive audio environments. Acting as a bridge between networked audio and AES/EBU monitoring infrastructure, it provides a scalable solution for routing high-resolution digital audio from modern IP networks to Genelec SAM monitors and subwoofers.

The 1U rackmount unit supports Dante, AES67 and ST 2110-30 audio formats and provides up to 16 channels of AES/EBU output. A single unit can accommodate monitoring configurations up to 9.1.6, while additional units can be added when larger channel counts are required.

Dual Gigabit Ethernet connections support redundant network operation for mission-critical installations. Digital monitoring outputs are provided through a 16-channel AES/EBU DB25 connection, with additional XLR connectivity available for subwoofer linking and auxiliary stereo AES applications.

The 9402A supports sample rates from 44.1 kHz through 192 kHz and word lengths up to 32 bits, providing bit-accurate signal distribution for high-resolution professional workflows. Integration with Genelec Loudspeaker Manager software allows compatible SAM monitoring systems to benefit from precise room calibration, level alignment, delay compensation and system control.

Compatibility with Dante Controller, Dante Director and Dante Domain Manager makes the unit suitable for both compact production rooms and large managed network infrastructures. Its scalable architecture enables additional 9402A units to expand system capacity in 16-channel increments.
