Strymon La Brea - Analog Tape Drive Pedal
The Strymon La Brea Tape Drive is an all-analog drive pedal that uses multi-stage tape saturation techniques to deliver everything from subtle warmth and compression to aggressive overdrive and full-on fuzz. Inspired by the saturation circuit in Strymon's Deco, La Brea brings the character and dynamics of tape-style saturation into a flexible standalone drive pedal.
With a completely analog signal path, La Brea responds naturally to your playing while offering a wide range of gain and tonal control. A Gain switch sets the range of the Tape Saturation control, while the Shift switch provides either a dedicated high-frequency boost or a boost with additional midrange for increased fatness and clarity. A fully variable Dry path lets you blend your original signal with the saturated sound while remaining in phase with the pedal's output, helping maintain clarity and definition even at higher saturation settings.
Running internally at 24V, La Brea provides high headroom, a wide gain range, and quiet operation. Whether you're looking to add a touch of warmth and compression or push your sound into thick, saturated fuzz, La Brea Tape Drive offers a distinctly analog approach to drive and tone shaping.
