The Doepfer A-100BSML3 Mini System is a compact complete analog modular synthesizer designed as an accessible entry point into the A-100 Eurorack environment. Installed in an A-100LC3 Low Cost Case, the system combines the fundamental building blocks of a traditional analog synthesizer with MIDI-to-CV integration in a single 3U, 84 HP system.

Two A-110-1 Standard VCOs provide a flexible dual-oscillator sound source capable of single-oscillator tones, detuned sounds, intervals, and more complex oscillator combinations. The A-114 Ring Modulator adds metallic and inharmonic timbres, while the A-118 provides noise and random-voltage sources.

Sound shaping is handled by the classic A-120 24dB low-pass filter and A-131 exponential VCA. The A-138b logarithmic mixer provides audio summing, while the A-140 ADSR and A-145 LFO supply envelope and cyclic modulation.

An A-190-4 MIDI-to-CV/Gate/Sync Interface integrates the analog system with MIDI controllers, sequencers, and computer-based setups. This makes the Mini System suitable as a self-contained analog synthesizer as well as a compact modular sound source for an existing MIDI studio.

The modules are installed in an A-100LC3 Low Cost Case providing one 84 HP Eurorack row and one bus board. The LC3 uses an external AC transformer and provides up to 1200 mA on both the +12V and -12V rails. The case does not provide a native +5V rail.
