Doepfer A-142-5v - 1U Dual Decay/LFO Vintage
The Doepfer A-142-5v is a compact dual envelope generator and LFO designed for the 1U format. Each of its two independent sections can operate either as a simple attack/decay envelope generator or as a looping A/D low-frequency oscillator, providing two flexible modulation sources in a single module.
With Loop switched off, a positive trigger starts the corresponding envelope. With Loop enabled, the circuit automatically repeats its attack/decay cycle and functions as an LFO. The trigger inputs are normalized from section 1 to section 2, simplifying patches where both generators need to receive the same trigger.
Each section includes a dedicated Decay control with an approximate range of 2 ms to 2 seconds. Attack time is independently adjustable internally from approximately 1 ms to 15 ms using trim potentiometers and is factory-set to approximately 3 ms.
A dedicated VCL input provides voltage-controlled activation of the Loop function. Applying a digital high signal of approximately +3.5V or greater switches the corresponding generator into looping operation when its physical Loop switch is off, allowing rhythmic or logic-based control over modulation behavior.
Each generator provides an output with an approximate +10V peak level and a dedicated LED for visual monitoring. The Vintage Edition features Doepfer's black front panel while retaining the same functionality as the standard A-142-5.
