The Doepfer A-130-3 is a dual 1U voltage-controlled amplifier featuring two independent VCA channels with switchable linear and exponential response characteristics. It provides flexible voltage-controlled level processing for both audio and modulation signals in a compact 1U format.

Each channel provides a manual Initial Gain control, a CV input with attenuator, signal input, and output. A three-position lin/exp switch selects linear response, exponential response, or mutes the channel in its center position.

Because all inputs and outputs are DC-coupled, the module can process both audio and control voltages. This allows it to control conventional audio amplitude as well as dynamically scale envelopes, LFOs, sequencer voltages, and other modulation sources.

The signal inputs accommodate levels up to approximately 16Vpp (-8V to +8V) without distortion. Maximum amplification is limited to unity gain, preventing the output from exceeding the input level through VCA amplification alone.
