The Doepfer A-138-6 is a flexible six-channel 1U mixer featuring two independent output buses. Each of its six mono inputs includes an individual linear Level control and a three-position assignment switch, allowing every source to be routed to Output 1, both outputs simultaneously, or Output 2.

This routing architecture makes the module useful for much more than basic summing. Signals can be separated into two processing chains, sent to parallel destinations, grouped into submixes, or distributed between different sections of a modular system without requiring additional routing modules.

All inputs and outputs are monophonic. Channel 1 also includes an optional internal modification that allows its Level control to function as a 0 to approximately +5V DC offset generator whenever no cable is connected to Input 1. The feature is disabled at the factory and can be enabled using an internal solder bridge.
