Doepfer A-130-3v 1U Dual lin/log VCA Vintage

The Doepfer A-130-3v is a dual voltage-controlled amplifier for the 1U modular format, providing two independent VCA channels capable of processing both audio signals and control voltages.

Each VCA includes a manual Initial Gain control for setting the initial amplification level and a CV input with its own attenuator. A three-position response switch selects linear or exponential operation, with the center position muting the corresponding VCA. Linear response is particularly useful for processing control voltages, while exponential operation is well suited to natural-sounding audio amplitude control.

All signal paths are DC-coupled, allowing the module to handle audio, envelopes, LFOs, sequencer voltages, and other control signals. Each input can accept signals up to approximately 16V peak-to-peak (-8V to +8V) without distortion.

The amplification range is limited from zero to unity gain, meaning the VCA does not amplify above the incoming signal level. Approximately +5V at the CV input is sufficient to reach maximum gain under standard settings.

The Vintage Edition combines the same circuitry and functionality as the standard A-130-3 with Doepfer's black Vintage front panel.
