Pacific (Vinyle)

A collaboration between three luminaries of the Japanese city pop and ambient scene — Haruomi Hosono (of Yellow Magic Orchestra), Shigeru Suzuki, and Tatsuro Yamashita — Pacific is a sun-drenched, quietly revolutionary record of tropical ambient pop that anticipates the entire Japanese city pop boom. Each side is a suite of interlocking pieces that feel as breezy and timeless as a beach at high noon.
