Little Odessa - The Criterion Collection (Blu-ray)

A contract killer (Tim Roth) returns to the Russian immigrant community of Brighton Beach where he grew up, stirring dangerous tensions with his crime boss brother and his dying mother. James Gray's strikingly accomplished debut feature is a cold, austere urban crime film — a harbinger of one of American cinema's great careers.
