Altered States - The Criterion Collection (4K-UHD / BD)
$58.50
Research scientist Eddie Jessup (William Hurt) becomes convinced that other states of consciousness — accessible through isolation tanks and hallucinogenic plants — are just as real as waking life, and that regression to a primal self is literally possible. Ken Russell's visionary, ferociously inventive adaptation of Paddy Chayefsky's novel is a film of extraordinary ambition: a psychedelic horror film, a love story, and a philosophical provocation simultaneously, with sequences of pure visual delirium that have never been surpassed.
