For All Mankind - The Criterion Collection (Blu-ray)

Assembled from over six million feet of NASA footage shot during the Apollo missions — footage never before seen by the public — Al Reinert's For All Mankind is both a supreme technical achievement and an overwhelming emotional experience. The twelve men who walked on the moon speak on the soundtrack in their own words, and the images they shot — of Earth shrinking to a marble, of the lunar surface in absolute silence, of the sun rising over the moon's horizon — remain among the most astonishing ever committed to film.
