After Dark My Sweet (Blu-ray)

A drifting ex-boxer with a troubled past (Jason Patric) falls in with a manipulative widow (Rachel Ward) and her shifty associate (Bruce Dern) in a kidnapping scheme that spirals dangerously out of control. James Foley's underrated neo-noir adaptation of Jim Thompson's novel is one of the finest crime films of its era — moody, morally complex, and quietly devastating.
