Eyes Without a Face - The Criterion Collection (4K-UHD/BD)

A brilliant surgeon (Pierre Brasseur), tormented by guilt over a car accident that destroyed his daughter's face, abducts young women to attempt a series of experimental face transplants. Georges Franju's haunting horror film — simultaneously a clinical nightmare and a fairy tale — is one of the most beautiful and unsettling films in the genre, its horrific surgery scenes surrounded by an almost unbearably delicate melancholy.
