Judex - The Criterion Collection (Blu-ray)

A mysterious masked avenger called Judex wages a secret war against an unscrupulous banker, protecting the innocent while battling a female villain and her criminal accomplices. Georges Franju's loving tribute to the silent French serial tradition — shot in sumptuous black-and-white — is a deliriously inventive fantasy that treats good and evil as elements in a beautiful dream.
