Solaris - The Criterion Collection (Blu-ray)

A psychologist travels to a space station orbiting the ocean planet Solaris — where the crew has been paralyzed by manifestations of their deepest memories and regrets, given physical form by the planet's intelligence. Andrei Tarkovsky's response to Kubrick's 2001 is a haunting, profound science fiction film that uses the genre's premises to ask about the nature of consciousness, love, and what it means to be human.
