Vintage Hyllested Keramik Denmark Wall Plaque, Adam Zwior Style.

Vintage Hyllested Keramik Denmark Wall Plaque, Adam Zwior Style.

$39.99

Authentic vintage Hyllested Keramik wall plaque from Denmark, dating to the late 1960s–1970s. This sculptural chamotte stoneware plaque features a stylized Inuit-inspired kneeling figure in raised relief with minimalist mountain motifs and heavy Scandinavian modern character.

Designed in the manner of Adam Zwior, one of Hyllested Keramik’s best-known artists, the piece showcases the studio’s signature gritty dark clay body combined with a thick cream tin-glaze relief decoration. The contrast between the matte textured ceramic and glossy raised glaze gives the plaque a strong brutalist and Danish modern aesthetic.

A highly decorative example of Scandinavian studio pottery, suitable for MCM, Japandi, folk modern, or brutalist interiors.

Impressed “Hyllested Denmark” mark on verso.

Condition is very good vintage condition with minor age-related wear consistent with use and production. No major chips or cracks observed.
